Jason and Damien Miller (below left) hit the jackpot on Thursday night when they fished the stretch between the lakes. Using live Biddies as their main draw card, they had two 'Jacks' (1.2kg and 1.7kg) in the boat by 7.30pm and were well and truly ready for home. They were both armed with Daiwa Procaster rods and Abu 6000C reels loaded with 6kg line.
Mangrove Jack and Whiting
Neil Pollock (above right) from Petrie, near Brisbane, found that the weed around Goat Island wasn't much of a problem towards the bottom of the run-out tide this morning. Using live Yabby for bait Neil boated a number of Whiting, with this 430gm specimen being his standout. Neil was using a Shakespeare Ugly Stik and an Alvey 500 reel loaded with 6lb line.

The Frying Pan was the top spot for the 'Lizards' this week as young Caboolture visitor James Correlje (below left) found to his delight on Tuesday afternoon. James was trolling the area in the family boat with his dad and brother when his pink deep diving lure attracted the attention of the 2kg fish he's posing with. He was armed with a Shakespeare spin outfit.

Jamie and Kerin Griffiths (above right), from Tewantin, came up trumps at the Munna Point Bridge around 5am on Thursday morning. The brothers were using live Yellowtail Pike as their draw card and as you can see by the 1.3kg and 1.5kg 'Trevs' they're pictured with, their choice was a winner. They were armed with Ugly Stiks and Okuma spin reels.
